Marjolein is a Dutch photojournalist and creative based in Amsterdam. With a background in European Studies and Cultural Anthropology and her interest in cultures and people, she documents humanity and visualises reality with her curious eye.

She has had multiple exhibitions in Amsterdam, London and Berlin and aims to exhibit around the world. She works on commission for magazines and clients like The Volkskrant, Nationale Nederlanden and VICE. Apart from bigger companies she also works with individuals and entrepreneurs.

Currently, she is doing research on entrepreneurship in East Africa. By documenting entrepreneurs she tries to give a better understanding of the daily life of an entrepreneur and hopes to inspire others.
